Terms of Service
Last updated 6 August 2026
The agreement between you and EZPrint. Deliberately short, in plain English, and without anything designed to be missed.
The short version. Print what you have the right to print. Pay for the printers you connect. Cancel whenever you want and keep what you have paid for until the period ends. We will not delete your printers without warning, and we will not pretend a service outage was your fault.
1. What the service is
EZPrint accepts documents from your computer or phone and delivers them to a printer you control, wherever that printer is. To do that, a small piece of software runs on a computer or an EZPrint Hub next to the printer and connects out to us.
These terms are between you and EZPrint. Using the service means you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming you are allowed to.
2. Your account
Give us a real email address, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think somebody else has got into your account.
One thing genuinely needs care. The address your computer uses to reach a printer contains a secret key, and anyone who has that address can print to that printer. Do not paste it into a public document or a shared chat. If it gets out, rotate it from the printer's page; the old address stops working immediately.
You need to be at least 13, and old enough where you live to enter a contract.
3. What you may and may not do
Print whatever you have the right to print. Do not use EZPrint to:
- print anything illegal, or anything you do not have the right to copy;
- print to somebody else's printer without their permission;
- send unsolicited material to a printer, whoever owns it;
- resell the service or run it as a print bureau for people who are not part of your household or organization, unless we have agreed that in writing;
- try to get around the limits below, break into the service, or use it to attack anything else.
We do not monitor what you print, and we cannot: documents are deleted as they finish. If somebody reports a genuine problem we will look at the account, not at the contents.
4. Fair use and limits
Pages are unlimited on paid plans and we mean it. We charge per connected printer. We do not count your pages, we will not invoice you for a busy month, and there is no hidden ceiling that turns the service off.
The free plan is capped at 1 printer and 50 pages a month, because it exists to let you prove the thing works with your own printer before paying for anything.
To keep the service standing up, there are some protections that apply to everyone:
- a ceiling on how many jobs can be submitted per hour, and how many can be in flight at once;
- a maximum size for a single document;
- automatic detection of a print loop, which pauses the printer rather than letting it consume your paper and your allowance;
- a monthly data figure we watch for signs that an account is being used as something other than a printer. Crossing it is an alert to us, not a switch that turns you off. If it ever came to a conversation, we would have the conversation.
Self-serve pricing runs to 250 printers. Beyond that, talk to us and we will work something out.
5. Paying
You pay per printer you have connected, monthly or yearly, at the rates shown on the pricing page. The rate per printer falls as you connect more. Annual billing charges ten months for twelve.
Payments are handled by an established payment processor. Sales tax is added where we are registered to collect it. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and your printers keep working until then. We do not refund part-months, and we do not make you telephone anybody: there is a button.
If a payment fails we will retry and email you. If it keeps failing the account drops to the free plan. We do not delete your printers or your settings when that happens. They are simply capped until you sort the payment out. Losing your configuration because a card expired would be a punishment, not a policy.
If we change prices we will email you at least 30 days before it affects you, and it will never apply to a period you have already paid for.
6. Hardware
The EZPrint Hub is bought outright, not rented, and it does not stop working if you stop subscribing. It is covered for one year against hardware failure that is not your fault. If it arrives broken or dead, tell us and we will replace it.
Thirty days to change your mind. If it does not work with your printer, or you simply do not want it, send it back within 30 days and we refund it including the postage. Trying to argue with somebody about whether their printer counts is not a business worth being in.
Pre-orders
Hubs are usually built to order rather than taken off a shelf, so there is a wait between paying and posting. The store shows the current turnaround before you buy, and we will keep you updated on where yours is up to. Your thirty days to change your mind start when it arrives, not when you ordered.
Risk and ownership pass to you on delivery. We ship within the United States.
7. Availability
We aim to keep EZPrint running all the time and we watch it automatically, but we do not offer a formal uptime guarantee and you should not treat it as infrastructure for something life-critical. Printing is best-effort: a printer that is switched off, jammed or out of paper is beyond our reach, and a job that cannot be delivered eventually expires.
We will give you notice of planned maintenance likely to interrupt printing whenever we reasonably can.
8. Ending it
You can stop at any time from the dashboard, and ask us to delete your account entirely.
We can suspend or close an account that is breaking section 3, that is not paying, or that is putting the service at risk. Except where something is seriously or obviously wrong, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to fix it first. If we close your account, we will refund the unused part of anything you have paid in advance.
9. Warranties and liability
The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and to the extent the law allows we exclude the implied warranties that would otherwise apply.
Our total liability to you for anything arising out of the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or anything indirect. If you paid us nothing, our liability is limited to fifty dollars.
None of this excludes anything that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any consumer rights you have where you live that override a contract. Some states and countries do not allow some of these exclusions, in which case they simply do not apply to you.
If somebody sues us because of what you printed or how you used the service, you agree to cover the reasonable cost of that.
10. The rest
Changes. We will email you at least 30 days before any change that materially affects you. Carrying on using the service after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, cancel and we will refund the unused part.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia, United States, and the courts there have jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
Everything else. If a clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Not enforcing something once does not waive it. You may not transfer these terms to somebody else without asking; we may transfer them if the business changes hands, and we will tell you if that happens.
Together with the Privacy Policy, this is the whole agreement between us.
